Apache Log4j Vulnerability

We've recently been contacted by customers who are concerned regarding the Log4Shell (CVE-2021-44228) vulnerability recently detected in Log4j.
Based on this we will hereby confirm that this vulnerability does not affect any of our software products.
This includes the following software products:

  • ViewCompanion Standard
  • ViewCompanion Pro
  • ViewCompanion Premium
  • GerbView
  • scViewerX
  • scConverter
  • And all dependencies used by the above products

We do not use Java or any third-party Java libraries in our software.

This is a major update which include new features, changes and fixes.
The new features include:

  • Added Copper Area calculation tool.
  • Added Highlight selected drill tool.
  • Added /pc command line parameter for PDF to CAD format conversion.
  • Added /cm command line parameter for merging two or more files into a single file.
  • The built in file explorer is now again available.
  • Added markup dimension line element.
  • Draw markup with snap to geometry support.
