ViewCompanion Updated

ViewCompanion version 13 has now been released.
This is a major update which include many new features, changes and fixes.
Some of the new features that are available in all editions include:

  • New compare context ribbon tab with a new alignment tool.
  • Added an option to show only differences for compared files.
  • Added option to use a transparent watermark during printing.
  • Header and footer can now have separate font and color.
  • PDF encryption is now available for all editions.
  • A new PDF batch encryption tool is now available for all editions.
  • New option to use a transparent watermark during printing.

In addition, there are a few new features that are only available in Premium:

  • New rotate pages dialog. You can now permanently rotate one or more pages in PDF and image files.
  • New image de-foxing filter. This filter removes yellow or grey background caused by aging (foxing) from scanned images.
  • Added a new image binarization filter.
  • Now automatically detects if Tesseract OCR engine is installed on the system. If Tesseract is available, you may now convert image files into searchable PDF files.
