ViewCompanion Premium FAQ

General

Why doesn't the pen table setting affect text entities?
On the HPGL page you find a setting named "Use Pen Table for Text". Enable this option and the pen table settings will work for text (LB) entities too.

Markup

Once I select a markup drawing command, I want to continue to use it. The way it is working now, I have to reselect it every time I want to add a markup. Is there a setting I can change?
Open the Tools->Options markup dialog. On the Markup page you will find an option named "Switch to Edit Mode when a new entity is created". Disable this option and ViewCompanion will stay in the draw markup mode.

PDF Printing

The quality of printed PDF's is too low. What can I do?
By default the PDF resolution is set to 200 DPI to save memory.
This resolution may be too low for high quality printing.
We recommend that you use the following settings for printing:
If you have Monochrome Printer (Black and white, laser etc):
Resolution: 600 (or higher)
BitsPerPixel: 1
If you have Color printer:
Resolution: 300 (or higher)
BitsPerPixel: 24
You will find these setting under Tools->Options->Advanced: PDF Importer Settings.
